In celebration of my best friend’s 25th birthday, we went cupcake tasting at Icing On The Cupcake! Countless friends of mine have adamantly recommended the adorable shop. Locations reside in Midtown, Rocklin, Folsom and a fourth upcoming location in Roseville.
Fun tidbits about Icing On The Cupcake: 3,000 Cupcakes are baked and decorated in a central kitchen every night. The cupcakes are distributed to all of their locations each morning. The owners were offered an opportunity to open cupcake chains similar to Sprinkles; however, they declined. Rumor is, they have been accepted to compete on Cupcake Wars.
We visited their downtown location on Alhambra. The shop was cute, simple, clean and straight to the point. The walls had cupcake art by Mandark. The dessert case was graced with cupcakes galore~ flavors included: Banana, Boston Cream, Chocolate Macaroon, Maple Bacon, PB & J, Blueberry Cheesecake, Caramel Apple, Chocolate Snowball, Death by Chocolate, Orange, Banana, Chocolate Chip, Carrot Cake, Cookies ‘n Cream, Pineapple Rightside Up, Chai, German Chocolate, Pistachio, Beehive, Pumpkin, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Pucker Up, Raspberry Bliss, Pink Delicious, Snickerdoodle, Lime, and Strawberry.
