I just had to chuckle when I saw this recipe for “Best Brownie.” In a culinary world where food names are now as drenched in gourmet titles as the dish is in gourmet flavors, these brownies hold their own with such simplicity. They are the best. And they most certainly are when you look at the ingredient list that relies on the best the dessert world has to offer: sugar, butter, cocoa, flour, and honey! I happen to like the fact that I can make these rich and decadent brownies with cocoa powder and butter. Sometimes, just sometimes, “a mouse” will eat all my chocolate chips at the exact moment that I’m craving a brownie! However, mice tend to leave my cocoa powder alone (yeah, I…I mean, the mice… don’t tend to snitch it when no one is looking), so I can whip these up at anytime I’m in need of a serious chocolate fix!
