Birthday Cake in a Jar

I always carry food around in jars.  Is that weird?  I don’t think so.  I have a large collection of reusable jars that once held peanut butter, jam, mustard, or kimchi.  They’re the perfect thing to fill with leftovers and take to work with you right in your purse.  I love this idea for Birthday Cake in a Jar from The Family Kitchen.  As blogger Brooke suggests, this is a great way to sneak birthday cake into someone else’s lunch.  It would be an easy way to take cake on a picnic or give to a coworker.  The cake is simply baked and then reassembled into jars and layered with frosting.  The possibility for flavors is endless.  And you can decorate the jar too!
