Over at The Frosted Cake Shop, I have expanded our specialty cake and cupcake menu to include stylized dessert bars and individual treats. In honor of Valentine’s Day, I styled a Chocolate-Raspberry Dessert Bar. Although I love fun and whimsy designs, I decided to take a more chic, modern approach. I wanted to provide an alternative to the typical, novelty Valentine’s Day decor. This dessert bar includes individual desserts to share with your sweetie, as well as ideas to entertain a crowd.
Amongst this table of treats are: Classic chocolate cupcakes with raspberry buttercream, dark chocolate cake pops, raspberry and chocolate mousse shots, butter cookies rolled in red sanding sugar, a raspberry tart with a buttery crust, home-made peanut butter cups, and a mini chocolate fondant covered layer cake.
For this particular display, I used clean, white pedestals and platters. I did not want to over-clutter the table, and just let the desserts shine! Please take a look at our NEW blog for more inspiring ideas and stylized dessert displays!
