Marshmallows don’t get enough credit. Everyone associates chilly nights and the end of family outings with steaming mugs of hot chocolate. Yet, it’s not the cocoa powder that everyone sneaks back into the kitchen for seconds of! I’m almost ashamed to admit that I’ve never cooked marshmallows homemade. Maybe being raised in Southern California and only seeing snow once in my life has left me bereft of some yummy experiences. So it’s with extreme tummy envy that I present these Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Marshmallow Squares from Love and Olive Oil. No longer do you have to bury your marshmallows in hot chocolate mugs or rice crispy treats. These guys are the real deal – at least, that’s what I hope to find out when I make them this weekend!
