National Animal Cracker Day desserts

National Animal Cracker Day

It’s a big day in the animal kingdom! Well, not exactly. However, it is National Animal Cracker Day, and most of us have a very strong fondness for those animals, so let’s be sure to celebrate in their honor. After all, every opportunity to eat animal shaped cookies out of a cardboard circus train was always cause for celebration back when we were younger. And of course, if we’re talking animal crackers here, we can’t leave out those delicious little pink and white frosted animal crackers covered with rainbow sprinkles. Thankfully they were always an exception to the “no playing with your food” rule! Are you ready to celebrate? To make sure you never miss out, check out our complete list of National Dessert Days.

Homemade circus animal crackers would be a great addition to nearly any party! Anita admits that “While they don’t taste like the store version, I think they taste pretty good on their own, and as a bonus I got to pick up some pretty cute circus animal cookie cutters from Williams-Sonoma.”
