When I make a baking mistake, the ordeal often ends with a garbage disposal full of burnt cake and tears. Luckily for us, Kelly Senyei at Just a Taste is a bit bolder than I. When her homemade fortune cookies weren’t turning out, she tossed the batter on a panini press (only 90 seconds per wafer!), and made Nutella Waffle Sandwich Cookies! With the help of a cookie cutter, she created lovely crisp rounds of waffle cookie, which were finished off with a bit of Nutella. I can already see myself setting up a sandwich cookie station at my next get-together, or sitting alone in the kitchen in front of my panini press on a Thursday night.
