I’m a big fan of vanilla, and even more so since a good friend of mine, who owns a local dessert shop, introduced me on to vanilla paste. I’m madly in love with the rich vanilla flavor it adds to all the goodies I make. So, of course, this Puffy Vanilla and Peanut Butter Chip Cookie Recipe from Averie Cooks is calling out to me! There are some great comments on her post about puffy versus flat cookies, along with tips like chilling the dough to improve flavor and texture, using ½ butter and ½ shortening to have a nice puffy buttery flavored cookie, and more.     Thanks for blogging about these and yes, the comments on the post were fun to read, too…hearing what everyone does with butter, shortening, and so forth. Working as a team to create great cookies…gotta love that kind of teamwork :)
