Do you remember earlier this year when we teamed up with Foodspotting to host Sacramento’s first Foodspotting Eat Up? The spaces filled up so quickly that we ended up having a waitlist for attendees. After numerous requests for another Sacramento Foodspotting Eat Up, I have teamed up with Foodspotting to host a summertime Eat Up event at GOOD: street food + design market.
On July 1st, a limited group of local foodies will have a chance to participate in an interactive experience blending mobile food with mobile devices when Best Friends For Frosting and San Francisco based mobile application developer Foodspotting partner up to present the first Foodspotting Summer Eat Up at GOOD: street food + design market.
Based on the idea of being a visual guide to good food and where to find it, the Foodspotting application has been featured in publications such as Bon Appetite, TIME, Tech Crunch, and Inc. Magazine. Users are encouraged to download the free mobile application, take pictures of their food, rate their experience, and share it via social media. When approached about partnering for this event, both companies agreed that it was only natural to host the Summer Eat Up at what is being touted as Sacramento’s most dynamic gathering of innovative and artisan food and design.
Sacramento Foodies who are passionate about food will not want to miss this event. GOOD: street food + design market showcases some of the most scrumptious food & dessert vendors in Sacramento. Attending this event will ensure that your Foodspotting profile is the most delectable on the block.
The concept of the two companies partnering to bring something creative to the GOOD: street food + design market is something that organizers say is tied into the overall idea of the event itself. And doing so not only brings value to the overall experience, but it also brings much needed exposure to the food vendors as well. “Each person who attends the Summer Eat Up will be using the Foodspotting app to spot the food that they order from the food vendors we have at the market,” Roshaun Davis said. “This instantly gives them exposure in a nationally recognized mobile app as well as positive feedback of their product in a shareable format that is built for social media.”
