Sparkling Coin Butter Cookies

Sparkle-Coin-Cookies

The recipes we share at Best Friends For Frosting are usually from food blogs. Today, we are sharing a really fun recipe for Sparkling Coin Cookies from The Purl Bee, which happens to be a craft blog. Yes, that’s right, a craft blog! Apparently it has become a tradition for the folks at The Purl Bee to share a holiday cookie recipe each year, and we thought you would like this one. You can make them any time of the year! A simple butter cookie recipe, flavored with almond extract, is rolled into colored sugar and refrigerated. When you are ready, just slice and bake! It’s that easy. Be creative with your sugar to make your own color combinations. I can think of so many pretty options. Just looking at these cookies is enough to make me get out the sprinkles!
