Is it ‘back to school’ time already? Summer can’t last forever, you know! Preparing for the year ahead can be a great opportunity to get creative, and Duck Tape is here to help. There are so many amazing ways to utilize Duck Tape to decorate school supplies, giving them your own creative flair. I took a trip to my local Walmart and was amazed at all the colors and patterns that Duck Tape has to offer. For this project, I went with solid colors to keep things simple and minimalistic. I decided to decorate a plain old clipboard and pencil holder and was very happy with the results. These are just a few ideas of what you can do with Duck Tape. Go pick yourself up a few rolls, and see what you can do. Have fun creating!!
Materials and Supplies:
-Empty can (for pencil holder)
Directions and Tips:
1. Pull out strips of Duck Tape and stick them to a cutting board. Anchoring the tape to a cutting board will keep it in place while you make your cuts. (Don’t worry, Duck Tape is very forgiving and easy to un-stick).
2. Use your craft knife to cut out the various geometric shapes. Use a ruler to guide your cuts. We went with long triangular chard’s of blue and white tape (feel free to experiment with various shapes and colors).
3. Stick your cut out shapes to the clipboard – be creative!
4. For the pencil holder, simply take an empty can and wrap it with tape.
