SWEET EATS IN SAN FRANCISCO

san-francisco

San Francisco is a Californian city known for its steep rolling hills, endless fog, and of course the Golden Gate Bridge. But it also happens to be one the best places to indulge your taste buds! Check out some of our favorite spots for savory snacks. We’re willing to climb every hill we see to get to them!

craftsman-and-wolves

The new-age patisserie Craftsman and Wolves offers posh pastries, confections, cakes, and other savory treats. We’re in love with The Rebel Within, an asiago sausage and green onion muffin with a soft cooked egg baked inside.

Looking for lunch? Hit up Saigon Sandwich. Located in the Tenderloin, Saigon is loved by locals and known for its dive-y atmosphere and killer banh mi. One of their specialties is the roast pork sandwich with a little extra secret sauce–it’s sure to send your taste buds spinning!

When it comes to local cupcake shops in San Francisco,  Sweetiecups is one of our favorites! Located in the Haight and embraced by locals and Yelpers alike, Sweetiecups offer cupcakes with a German essence. Our favorite is the forbidden caramel, an apple cake cup with a light caramel cream cheese frosting.

If you’re visiting during the heat of summer, be sure to stop by Swensen’s Ice Cream for a sweet treat to cool you down. Swensen’s is located in the Russian Hill neighborhood and is a true San Francisco classic. We recommend going with one of their tasty Cable Carfaits or a cone of whatever scoop sounds the most tempting!

knead-patisserie

If you’re looking for a delicious breakfast pastry, check out Knead Patisserie. Located in the Mission District, this spot stays open later on the weekends, so it’s the perfect place to go on lazy vacation mornings. The Pomme d’Amours and Lemon Ricotta turnovers are a must-try, and there’s something so romantic about wandering the Mission with a coffee and one of their delicious croissants.
