A party can always use a pop of color, so why not try this pom pom party theme idea by our contributor Krista of Sugar Love Chic? The contrast of the colorful little pom poms against pearl white balloons is gorgeous, and they make cute food labels too. Try them out at your next party for a playful touch! Here’s what Krista has to say:

“Party themes are a fun way of adding a touch of pizzazz to a party, while tying all of the decor together. Choosing to create a theme shouldn’t have to cost a lot of money or take up a ton of time. It can be as simple as a trip to the craft store and buying only a handful of supplies. This pom pom party theme required little money and time, but makes a big (and adorable) impression!”

1. Begin with the balloons. Hold the spray glue a couple inches from the balloon and spray a small amount. Immediately after, place pom pom on the glue and hold for 10 seconds. Continue this with different colored and sized pom poms all over the balloons.

2. To create the pom pom toothpicks, spray a small amount of glue onto the small pom poms, then stick the dull end of the toothpicks in it and hold for 10 seconds.

3. To make the pom pom food labels, take the big pom poms and simply poke with the sharp end of the toothpicks. Then use the washitape to create little flags on the opposite ends. These are perfect for placing in front desserts or hors d’oeuvre with the dish names.

It’s as simple as that! Colorful, fun, and best of all, easy!
