TIPS FOR THE PERFECT SPRING MANICURE

Spring is just around the corner! And here at Best Friends For Frosting, we are so thrilled!

Springtime is meant for fun florals and bright sunshine! It’s the perfect weather for picnics and coffee dates on the patio. And it’s also the best time of year to start pulling your fun, strappy sandles out of the closet!

But with sandles and more time outside with bright, fun clothing, means the need for a great manicure to match. From fun colors to patterns, we love a good do-it-at-home manicure. Our nails can get so dry and damaged during the winter months that it is always a good idea to give them some extra tender loving care right before spring hits!

Our first step of course, is to remove any old polish so we can start with a clean slate. We love to start with a conditioning nail polish remover, or for that tough nail polish,  glitter nail polish remover. Who else hates scrubbing at glitter polish for hours?? This makes it SO easy!

Next, we love to use a glass nail file to shape our nails. Filing is an absolute must!

For extra nourishment for our damaged cuticles, we add a bit of cuticle softener and remover. It becomes an absolute necessity during the cold.

Finally, our favorite part, the polish! We always start with a base coat so that our polish goes on smooth and lasts us through the week. We are currently obsessing over this pink glitter nail polish for a festive mani! A good nail splurge when planning an at-home mani is to grab a nail trio- a treatment, polish, and top coat. This is perfect for having it all.

To finish a perfect manicure, try quick dry polish drops, allowing you to complete your manicure and run out the door!

For a little bit of extra love, finish everything off with a great, nourishing  hand cream.

How will you show your nails some extra love this spring?
