Once the sun begins to shine all throughout the day, and you see tulips and daffodils starting to pop out of the ground, you know spring is here! And with spring comes plenty of gorgeous brunches, picnics, and Easter! Easter is a family day that offers the chance to gather and have a little bit of springtime fun. We’re all about the traditional day for a morning Easter egg hunt, time spent outside through the day, and a big family dinner at the end of the day. But what makes Easter even better is great food made with ease.

This year, we’re all about impossibly easy recipes for Easter. Whether it’s for Easter breakfast or brunch, a picnic lunch, or a big dinner and dessert, we’re cutting down on the kitchen time, leaving more time for fun in the springtime sun!

Today, we’re thrilled to be sharing a simple, delicious Easter Waffle Sundae recipe – the perfect way to end the day!

This recipe is so simple, yet the result is sure to impress your family and guests. And the best part? It uses ingredients you already have on hand! Feel free to make waffles ahead of time, we prepare them fresh after dinner. Either way, prep, cook, and assembly time is only a matter of minutes! Top your Easter Waffle Sundaes with ice cream and all of your favorite sundae toppings for a fun, end-of-the-day treat!

EASTER WAFFLE SUNDAES

INGREDIENTS:

-2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
-1 1/3 cups milk
-1 egg
-2 tablespoons vegetable oil
-Ice cream
-Sundae toppings such as strawberries, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, etc.
INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Plug in waffle iron and allow it to pre-heat.

2. Combine Bisquick mix, milk, egg, and oil and whisk until smooth.

3. Scoop prepared mixture into your waffle iron. Close waffle iron and allow waffles to cook. Remove once cooked and allow to cool.

4. Once cool, top waffles with ice cream, chocolate sauce, strawberries, sprinkles, etc. Have fun with it! Allow kids to top their own dessert for a fun end to a great day!
