Being engaged is one of the happiest times of someones life! A bride is over joyed with bliss and joy as she plans all of the details from the dress to the wedding stationary suite. There is such hard work and preparation put into making a the perfect day of love and happiness. What better way to add to a truly romantic and fairytale wedding than with a romantic dessert table to end a perfect day!
Wedding trends today consist of the less is more approach. A perfect dessert table is all in the details while still keeping it simple. For this romantic dessert table style, try a different variety of flowers with different textures and colors while sticking to your wedding color tones. Instead of creating large bouquets of flower center pieces, go for a minimalist look by scattering the flowers around the table in different heights of vases to create a variety among the table. For an extra romantic feel, add small tea-light candles and a few taller candles scattered around the desserts to showcase the sweets and to create that perfect fairytale setting.
For the desserts, a major trend is naked cakes. When planning this table scape, remember that less is more! Many weddings consist of one large, multi-tiered cake, but for more a conversation starter try having a few smaller cakes placed on different tables. When deciding on a cake theme, go for simply whimsical. Have one beautiful cake for the bride and groom to share, and a few others for the guests to chose from. For gorgeous cakes, try accents of real or fondant flowers, lace, or pearls. For a truly fun and romantic way to personalize your wedding, try adding personalized cake toppers with different phrases on them! This will be one of the special touches your guests are sure to remember.
We are so thrilled to have Kat Schmoyer of Dear Sweet Heart Events with us to tell us all about the inspiration behind this fairy tale dessert table! Here is Kat on the event:
Since the conference is only two days, we wanted to do a fun event on the night of day one to bring everyone together in a casual atmosphere! We decided a Late Night Treat was in order, and had so much fun eating cupcakes, drinking coffee & chatting with the attendees! Pajamas were a must-have and the attendees loved seeing the farm tables by Paisley & Jade & the gorgeous backdrop by Sweet Pear Paper!! It was a definitely a ‘sweet’ way to end day one of the conference!!
