Truth be told, my master bedroom was in need of an entire overhaul. All of our furniture was completely outdated…like, by at least 10 years. Anyone else guilty? All of our previous furniture was completely brown with limited decor pieces and just plain bland. I’ll do you a favor and spare the “before” photos.
After a fun shopping spree at some of my favorite shops around the city, I felt more than ready to tackle my master bedroom. We ultimately turned it into a much needed gender-neutral and modern space that left us feeling like we were having a Vacay Every Day, at home.
I added a few new pillows including one made of Mongolian sheep fur that brought much needed texture to the space. I also incorporated accents to my nightstand like the marble box above, which offers elegance and function, holding my wedding ring, jewelry, and trinkets. The pink and gray throw adds color and pattern breaking up the simple neutrality of the space. Oh, and we can’t forget memory foam pillows for extra comfort and the occasional pillow fight, of course!
We topped our credenza with natural, peach colored rock book ends, adding stylish yet subdued pastels and functionality to the space. By the way, these are my favorite books right now!
The dresser includes accents of textured light blue glass and a mid-century ceramic vase adding some much needed dimension and flair.
Stylish storage boxes make staying organized a blast! I like to keep this gold metal bottle opener close by for special occasions…
Like when your girlfriends come over to help add a few final touches and celebrate your new space. After the pictures were hung and pillows fluffed, we celebrated “Vacay Every Day” style- with small bites and Palm Breeze, a new tropical alcohol spritz.
Pineapple cupcakes topped with yellow shimmery gumballs were a MUST and so darn delicious!
I am so thrilled with the outcome of our bedroom! Pinch me! Even though we only tackled one room in my house, celebrating with my girlfriends felt like a mini-housewarming party. It was so much fun and well worth all the work!
