I know so many of you have been asking about our new office space. The update is…we’re still looking! It’s been hard to take the plunge on a place. Either the lease is too long, there aren’t enough windows, or a whole laundry list of other things. I swear I’m not that picky. I totally believe in the power of finding an amazing place to make and call our own with a little TLC, but we’re just not there yet. On a more positive note, we’ve been going to town on Valentine’s content. As so many of you loved the eye lash decorated heart cookies I made for Pottery Barn Kids, I decided to do a re-run of one of our greatest hits in DIY form. ;)

I got these hearts from the party section at Target for only $4.99 –  true story! This banner was so incredibly easy to make. As a party designer, it can such a challenge for me to find the party products I need at the store, so I figured, let’s just do it the good old fashioned DIY way!

HOW TO MAKE A DIY HEART EYELASH BANNER

MATERIALS:

– Felt hearts

– Sewing needle

– Fishing line

– Black puffy paint

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Using pre-cut felt hearts, choose a color pattern for your banner. We used white and light pink of course!
  2. With your fishing line through your needle, sew through the front and the back of each felt heart.
  3. Last, use your black puffy paint to paint eyelashes onto every other heart.
