We’ve been getting into the groove of summer over here. Charlie graduated from Kindergarten last week, and Claire officially started potty training – so life is a little CRAZY (in a good way) right now! Between home and office renovations and planning Charlie’s 7th birthday party, I have been scouring the internet for all types of fun new trends and products!

Ever since I found these edible pink rocks, I have been on the tips of my toes to create something for the blog with them! Can you believe these are edible?!! So fun!

How To Make DIY Cactus Cupcakes

Materials:

  • Clay pots
  • Pink spray paint
  • Sugarfina pink chocolate candy rocks
  • Pink fish rocks
  • Mini cupcakes (homemade or store-bought)
  • Toothpicks
  • Buttercream frosting
  • Mint gel food dye
  • Pink sprinkles
  • Pink sugar flowers
  • Piping bags and attachments (Star and Round tips)

 INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Paint your clay pots pink.
2. Fill pots to the brim with rocks.
3. For your round cactus, use one mini cupcake. For your tall cactus, stack two mini cupcakes using toothpicks to hold them together. Place cupcakes into the pot on top of the rocks.
4. Frost your cupcakes using the Star or Round tip, add sprinkles, and top each cactus with a pink sugar flower.
5. Add pink Sugarfina rocks around the edges.
