That one special recipe stands out and serves as the highlight of the evening, and might even get a cheer or two when it’s carried out. If you’ve been searching for that dessert to serve at a picnic celebration, you might want to let a cheer out right about now!

We don’t want to be too dramatic here, but we have discovered the holy grail of outdoor approved party recipes recipes. OK, maybe we sounded dramatic anyway, but can you blame us? This “cake” will be a hit at your backyard barbecue or party– or if your city is holding a Memorial Day bake-off, you just might take the top spot.

This attention-grabbing dessert will take the top spot and remind you and your guests what outdoor entertaining is all about. If you’re cooking up some other treats for the table, like macarons or cupcakes, you might even want to go with a pearly, pastel theme to make the contrast even stronger.

We’re not all about looks though! We love the taste of this cake because it mixes the indulgent sweetness of COOL-WHIP Whipped Topping with tons chocolate goodness. If you’re counting calories or just want to bake up a variation on the cake, try preparing as directed with fat-free pound cake instead and substitute COOL WHIP LITE Whipped Topping. KRAFT GRAHAM CRACKER ÉCLAIR “CAKE” 
Prep: 15 min.
Servings: 9

 

ingredients

 

–15 HONEY MAID Honey Grahams, broken in half (30 squares), divided
–1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
–1-1/2 cups cold milk
–1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
–1 cup BAKER’S ONE BOWL Chocolate Frosting

1. ARRANGE 10 graham squares, slightly overlapping, on bottom of 8-inch square pan. Beat pudding mix and milk in large bowl with whisk 2 min. Let stand 5 min. Stir in COOL WHIP.
2. SPREAD half the pudding mixture over graham squares in pan; cover with 10 of the remaining graham squares. Repeat layers.
3. REFRIGERATE 3 hours. Spread with BAKER’S ONE BOWL Chocolate Frosting.

 

*Shortcut: Substitute 1 cup ready-to-spread chocolate frosting for the BAKER’S ONE BOWL Chocolate Frosting.
