The official start of summer calls for a delicious dessert that can be served at everything from a neighborhood barbecue to a potluck dinner. Or, hey, don’t hesitate to reward yourself with a delectable afternoon treat! There are few desserts more tasty and traditional than “Key Lime” Cloud Squares. If you’re a fan of the classic key lime pie, then this recipe by Kraft will be right up your alley. Why buy a store-bought key lime dessert when you can make one yourself and take all the credit?

The best part about this recipe is that there’s a good chance that you already have all the ingredients in your pantry or refrigerator. From the homemade graham cracker crust to the ooey-gooey center created from JELL-O lime gelatin, cream cheese, and COOL WHIP, this dessert is as tasty as they come. Oh, and did we mention that the yumminess continues with even more COOL WHIP on top sprinkled with leftover graham cracker crumbs? During the dog days of summer, is there anything else that you could ask from a picnic-worthy dessert dish? We’d say no!

All yumminess aside, these “Key Lime” Cloud Squares have a way of bringing everyone together.  One bite in and, trust us, there’s no going back! In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, there’s something to be said about taking a second to “pause,” enjoy the company of friends and loved ones, and treat yourself to an ah-mazingly tasty dessert! Prep: 20 min.
Servings: 16

— 1 1/3 cups graham cracker crumbs, divided

— 1/4 cup butter, melted

— 3/4 cup boiling water

— 1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Lime Flavor Gelatin

— 1 cup  ice cubes

— 1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

— 1 can  (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

— 3/4 cup  lime juice

— 2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping


1. RESERVE 1 Tbsp. graham crumbs. Mix remaining crumbs with butter; press onto bottom of plastic wrap-lined 9-inch square pan. Refrigerate until ready to use.

2. ADD boiling water to gelatin mix in small bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add ice; stir 2 min. or until thickened. Remove any unmelted ice. Beat cream cheese in medium bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in milk, then lime juice. Add gelatin; mix well. Whisk in 1 cup COOL WHIP. Pour over crust.

3. REFRIGERATE 6 hours or until firm. Cover with remaining COOL WHIP just before serving; sprinkle with reserved graham crumbs. Use plastic wrap handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting into squares.
