Looking for the perfect piece for your next summer event? Look no further than the Little White Dress! We’re thrilled to have Jessica Clinch of Simply Jessica Marie showing us how to style the newest closet must-have, the LWD! Here’s what she has to say:
“There is hardly anything more timeless than a little black dress, and the counterpart to the LBD is the equally fabulous little white dress! It is an absolute staple for summer, as it is a piece that you can dress up or down, wear to work or brunch, and looks effortlessly wonderful on everyone.
While a LWD is beautiful all on its own paired with some strappy sandals and dainty jewelry, it is oh so much more fun to dress it up! The best way to do so is to add pops of color and metallic through your accessories and makeup.
When adding pops of color, it is important to only introduce two to three colors in order to maintain the focus on your LWD. You want your color to complement your dress, not overpower it! I chose a statement necklace in shades of pink, orange, and gold that hit right below the neckline of my dress, as well as a light pink bangle and a small bag in the same color palette as the necklace.
When it comes time to choose shoes to accompany your LWD, I tend to gravitate toward nude pumps. They do not distract from your outfit, and elongate your legs. And who says you have to wear traditional nude pumps? These peep toe pumps with a gold bow are just as flirty as every other element in this outfit!
You can also have fun with your hair and makeup. I chose to keep my hair down with soft curls at the bottom to enhance the feminine feel of my look. I then added bright pink lips and nails to match my accessories, and kept everything else neutral. It is the perfect way to add a finishing touch to your look!
