Looking for ways to make your next party chic and simple? BFFF has got you covered! A variety of bite-sized, decadent desserts and trendy, yet understated decor will do just the trick! With us today is Denell Pepin of Modern Parent Living to share her tips for fun and festive entertaining. Here’s what she has to say:

“As the cooler months arrive, we tend to look for any excuse to host a unique and intimate gathering. A great way to create a thoughtful, on-trend dessert spread is to choose a theme that is easy to execute while still offering variety and just enough edge.

Right now, I’m obsessing over black and white everything. This classic combo is one of my favorite themes to work with because there’s so many specialty and ready-made confections that play off this color palette, and your guests will love getting to indulge in small bites of absolutely everything. Plus, it looks so chic!”

On the menu are chocolate mini chocolate tortes, dark chocolate covered pretzels with sea salt, hot chocolate squares dipped in white chocolate, white rock candy, black and white macarons, white chocolate almond bark, coconut taffy, white chocolate peanut butter cups, and Oreo cookie bark. I like the idea of choosing one or two designer desserts that shine (chocolate torte and macarons), and then dressing up the spread with purchased items that lend to the theme.

This dessert display will easily inspire you to get creative with the simple Black & White theme during the more festive seasons. Whether hosting for Halloween, or celebrating New Year’s Eve, this is the perfect dessert table to showcase your favorite sweet treats.”
