When it comes to the holidays, dessert can play a huge role in your celebration. Whether you’re attending or hosting a cookie swap, or simply having the family over for a treat, it’s important to have a recipe on hand that you can always count on.

This year, we’re all about the make-ahead recipes. We’re prepping recipes for dips and drinks, allowing us to spend less time in the kitchen. Luckily, dessert is definitely the easiest course to prep ahead for, especially when you have the perfect go-to recipe in hand!

Today, we’re sharing an impossibly easy recipe using Bisquick for Homemade Coconut Pie, and we can’t wait to try it again as the holidays get closer! This recipe uses ingredients that we already had on hand, and the final result was surprising. By simply stirring seven ingredients together in a bowl, we came out with a final product that we were thrilled to share with others, and you will be too!

One of the best holiday tips we could ever share is to always prep ahead! Be ready for what’s coming your way, and use simple items to make a great dessert for your family. That prep work ahead of time will be so important to you and your family, as it will allow you to spend much more time with them. You’ll be free to spend more time around the tree, enjoying each other’s company, than scrambling in the kitchen.

Prepare this recipe ahead of time and leave it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve. You’ll be able to simply pull out the finished pie, add a few dollops of whip cream or ice cream with it, and serve it to all of your guests. You’ll take comfort in the fact that it only took about 10 minutes of prep time, allowing more time for other tasks.

This year, it’s important to remember what matters most. Spend time with your family and friends, and less time in the kitchen trying to figure out the perfect meal! Enjoy a satisfying meal made with ingredients you always have on hand, and feel good that you’ll be feeding your family something nutritious that they’re sure to enjoy!


-1 Cup Shredded Coconut

-3/4 Cup Sugar

-1/2 Cup Bisquick

-1/4 Cup Butter, softened

-2 Cups Milk

-1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla

-4 Eggs

1. Preheat oven to 450 degree. Prep a 9″ pie pan with cooking spray.

2. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and stir.

3. Pour mixture in pan and bake for 50 to 55 minutes until golden brown.
