Here at BFFF, we appreciate a good champagne cocktail! With the holiday season in full swing, you will be thanking us for this super simple drink recipe. We are so excited to have Kate of Tell Me Tuesday back with us today to share her Rosé Spritz cocktail with us! With a beautiful pink color and a decorative rosemary sprig, this is the perfect drink to serve at your next dinner party. Even better, you can turn this into a pitcher or punch bowl when you are expecting a ton of friends! Check out Kate’s tips and recipe below:
“As the festive season approaches, it’s time to start planning what guests are going to be sipping whilst they tear open presents or chow down turkey. A glass of fizz is the perfect way to kick off the day’s celebrations, and this Rosé Wine Spritz is a fun alternative to a standard glass of champers (no matter what the weather is outside).
My favorite thing about this cocktail is how super simple it is to prepare, meaning more time spent with family and friends and less time banging around in the kitchen. If you’re serving the masses, this recipe also makes a great punch bowl or pitcher. Just multiply the quantities and add some large blocks of ice. Cheers!”
ROSÉ SPRITZ COCKTAIL
Makes: 1 cocktail
- 4 oz (125 ml) sparkling Rosé wine
- 1 1/2 teaspoons elderflower liqueur
- 3 dashes orange bitters
- Rosemary sprig to garnish
- Pour elderflower liqueur into your glass and add a splash of orange bitters.
- Top with ice cold sparkling rosé and garnish with a rosemary sprig.
Choose a Rosé that suits your own unique palette. If you prefer your bubbles to be on the dryer side, try a Pinot Noir Rosé. If your taste buds prefer something more sugary and sweet, a sparkling Moscato is a great choice (you may just want to half the amount of liqueur).
