Promise Tangeman and her uber-cool team at Go Live are digital powerhouses. Their mission is to take the pain, stress, and time out of creating a website (hands up if you’ve been there!), and launch your flawless online platform in just 2 days.

#Girlboss author Sophia Amoruso is a client, as is super-blogger Danielle from We Wore What. So what makes this Get It Girl Tick? We couldn’t wait to find out either…

1. First off, can you tell us a little about yourself?

Sure! I’m a creative at heart with a knack for business ideas and a professionally trained eye for graphic and web design. I geek out over unique font pairings, dynamic layouts, well executed business ideas, and impactful marketing strategies. Even though I’m in the graphic and web design industry, I feel that the vision is more than just designing a website, it’s helping people launch what they love. Getting to be a part of helping someone follow their dreams is MORE than rewarding. When I’m not toasting to a newly launched site, I am home in the LA area with my husband, Brian and our Goldendoodle pup, #thedogparker.
2. What was the inspiration behind GO LIVE?
Simply put, we LOVE getting things done. For the average Jane, figuring out how to launch a business, design and publish a website is a huge undertaking. And navigating the back end of the inter-webs is even worse–overwhelming, complicated, and anxiety-inducing to say the least, especially if you’re home alone. We have heard story after story of people that have gone through a traditional web design process and have experienced an expensive payment, months and months (or even a year) of work, endless emails back and forth, technical frustrations, and mixed communication associated with launching their brand. And after it’s all said and done they can’t even update their own website. Launching a website should not be that painful. After I had spent years in the design industry I realized that this was a hole that I felt lead to fill. At Go Live we offer several ways at different price points to design and launch a website in a matter of days…and we aim to make it fun. Currently, our most popular product is our Squarespace website themes.

3. What does the design process look like building a client’s website in two days
One of our favorite design services is our 2 day in-person workshop where we help creative entrepreneurs from all over the world build, design, and launch their websites in 2 days flat. It’s a high intensity, in-person, full service event to help them get their website LIVE and on the web! Prior to day one of the workshop the attendees have a brand assignment to complete. This homework not only helps our team get to know our clients better but it also prompts questions and activities that help them collect the pieces to build their brand graphically. The 2 days are then filled with one-on-one coaching, new headshots, design tutorials, champagne toasts, and a tonne more…not to mention a new website. Our goal is to give creative entrepreneurs the power and confidence to further customize and edit your website independently as your business grows & expands. We close out the experience by actually launching the new websites and celebrating by raising a glass to new successes, completed goals, and confidence in what the future holds. It’s a TONNE of fun.
4. You have a great sense of style and fashion! How would you describe your personal style?
Aww, thank you! I gather a TONNE of inspiration from fashion! I LOVE IT!! I would say my style is very eclectic with a rocker flair and a slight boho vibe! I feel most like myself with messy hair, a feminine top, and something tomboy-ish on the bottom.

5. Can you tell us about DESIGNER VACA?
Yes! Designer VACA is literally a 3 day vacation in Palm Springs, California for female graphic and web designers. It’s a time to dream, relax, collaborate, share experiences, and learn from each other. The intimate environment has a relaxed anti-conference feel creating space for amazing connections and beautiful relationships to take place. In 2012, my business partner and I desired to step away from their computers, build community, lay by the pool, and recharge next to ladies all doing the same. And it proved to be a very needed and energizing vacay away!
6. What has been some of the struggles starting your business endeavors and how have you overcome them?
I would say that the main struggle I face everyday is RISK! With every decision I have to make there are repercussions, both good and bad. When you own your own business there are so many unknowns, but you still have to make decisions. The idea of risk is both invigorating and paralyzing. My advice on how to deal? Weigh the different options with your mind, follow your heart and go with your gut!
7. Who has been your greatest inspiration?
I don’t want to sound cliché, but it’s hands down my husband, Brian. I am the cup half empty and he is the cup half full. He believes in me so much that it pushes me to be better, work harder, and rise to the occasion.

8. How do you go about marketing your business?
This is a great question. Because our business is online, the strategy is always changing, just as the internet is always changing. The majority of our marketing is in an organic form through social media. People pin a lot of our work from our blog to Pinterest and we get a good amount of traction on Instagram from posting consistently. We also get a lot of our referrals from our past clients, like #Girlboss, Jasmine Star, and We Wore What, and more.
9. Who are some of your favorite fashion icons?
I love Gwen Stefani’s bold statements, the Olsen twins’ effortless looks, and Sienna Miller’s versatility.
10. Where do you see yourself and your business in the next 10 years?
I’d love to continue to pursue my husband and have an amazing marriage. We’d love to have a couple of kids. I’d like be in the best physical shape of my life (I started Crossfit recently). And for the business? I think it will always be evolving with the times! I love pushing and moving things forward so it will be great to see where this journey leads.
