Last week we took a much-needed “staycation” around town as a family and went to the beach. It has been so wild around here with everything from getting new posts up to chatting with my friends over at Bloglovin’ about how we operate from home. Once we got to exploring, we realized how many fun places are hidden in Sacremento! I’ve lived in this city my entire life and still have not explored everything! If you haven’t taken the time to experience unfamiliar places in your city, I bet you would be surprised by how many unexpectedly cool places you come across. ;)

Andy and I took the kids and had brunch on the river, where we had an entire water view while we ate and enjoyed some much needed family time. As you probably already know, I am obsessed with Lilly Pulitzer dresses. I’ve done my own fair share of posting some of my favorite Lilly dresses the summer.  The patterns are SO much fun! So, of course when I was getting ready for our family date day, I grabbed one of my faves!

This was the perfect outfit for a fun day by the water, especially with a gorgeous turquoise and blue pattern and balanced with gold! We had such an incredible time as a family and plan to make it a regular date! Do you set regular staycation dates with your family?
