Cupcakes are one of the quickest growing trends in desserts. Cupcakes are individual, versatile, and really, very cute. Whether you’re baking cupcakes for a birthday party, or a bake sale, the recipe always matters. What flavor do you want? Will the recipe you’re using provide you with the best fluffy cupcake you could dream of? Sometimes it’s hard to know. What if there was a one-stop shop for cupcake recipes from some of the most popular dessert bloggers around the web?

Luckily, after receiving such great reviews of our recent post featuring 16 Favorite Frosting Recipes from Popular Dessert Bloggers, we’ve created just the thing to end your search. We got to work, contacting 28 of our many-favorite dessert bloggers, asking them to confide in us their absolute favorite cupcake recipe. Here is what they recommend.

The Ultimate Vanilla Cupcake is Stef at Cupcake Project’s favorite cupcake recipe.  It has been test-baked by more than 50 people.  Stef also contributes about cupcakes on Paula Deen’s website.  She knows all about cupcakes!

Naomi of Hello Naomi continues to adjust her favorite recipe for Magnolia’s Bakery Vanilla Cupcakes. By adding real vanilla beans rather than extract, she has found her perfect cupcake companion.

Heather’s favorite Triple Salted Caramel Cupcakes recipe is one that she can make time and time again. This Sprinkle Bakes recipe uses a brown sugar cake recipe with a salted caramel sauce in the center. Top the cupcake with a salted caramel buttercream frosting, and you have a tried and true favorite.

Angie’s favorite Cookies and Cream Cupcakes recipe is one that she can always be in the mood for. By adding Oreo cookies to the cupcakes, frosting, and as a topping, this recipe from Bakerella creates the perfect combination.

Lizzy’s favorite German Chocolate Cupcakes are perfect for any chocolate lover. This recipe from Your Cup Of Cake spruces up a chocolate cake mix by adding buttermilk. Then top the cupcakes with a homemade German chocolate buttercream, complete with coconut and pecans.

Melissa from Best Friends For Frosting loves these Vanilla-Almond Cupcakes with Salted Caramel Buttercream. The recipe tells you how to make homemade caramel to add to your frosting. Put it all together for the perfect cupcake.

Elissa’s favorite Buttercream in Bloom cupcakes are perfect for a festive spring celebration, or any other time you need a pretty cupcake. This recipe from 17 and Baking transforms an ordinary cupcake in to a work of art.

Sara and Kate’s favorite Peanut Butter Cup Cupcakes from Our Best Bites are great for any peanut butter and chocolate lover. Not only do they have peanut butter in the batter, but also a peanut butter cup to surprise you with that first bite.

Nichelle from Cupcakes Take the Cake loves Sweet and Salty Cupcakes. This recipe uses salted caramel and chocolate cake, the perfect blend to cure any craving

Irvin’s favorite Italian Cream Cupcake is fluffy, and full of butter, as it should be. This recipe from Eat the Love uses great ingredients like buttermilk to give it that great consistency.

When looking for something fun, Glory turns to these Pina Colada Cupcakes. This recipe from Glorious Treats adds pineapple to the batter and tops the baked cupcakes with Coconut Cream Cheese Frosting.

Jessie of CakeSpy is a sweets detective, so when it comes to cupcakes, so knows her stuff. Her favorite recipe for Funfetti Cupcakes take a regular cake mix, and stuffs the cupcakes with cookie dough.

It’s no wonder that Lindsay Ann’s favorite Strawberry Cheesecake Cupcakes won Cupcake Wars. Dollhouse Bakeshoppe bakes these cupcakes on a graham cracker crust, fills them with real strawberries, and tops them with cream cheese frosting.

Red Velvet Cupcakes from Pink Cake Box are not only Anne’s favorite, but also the favorite of many of their customers. Top them with a huge dollop of cream cheese frosting, and you’ve made the favorite of many others.

Andie from Ditzie Cakes can’t think of anything more perfect than a Lemon Cupcake. Adding a lemon curd or great meringue just makes it that much better.

Elisa’s favorite Snowman Cupcakes are adorable for winter, but can be delicious during any time of the year. This recipe from Confetti Cakes can be transformed to anything you like, even bunnies for springtime. Louise’s favorite recipe for Banana Cupcakes from Cake Journal is said to be the best ever. Made with ripe bananas and topped with your favorite frosting, who is going to argue with that?

Tessa’s favorite Chocolate Cupcakes from The Frosted Cake Shop are the perfect treats. Top them with anything from vanilla to peanut butter to raspberry buttercream!

Marian’s favorite Turtle Cupcakes on her blog Sweetopia are the perfect blend of chocolate and caramel. These chocolate cupcakes with a sweet surprise in the middle are sure to impress.

  4. All of these look so good. Two things that have been on my list to make are Pina Colada Cupcakes and the Vanilla Cupcakes. I’ve been on a quest for the perfect vanilla cupcake for almost a year now. I’ve done some good ones but they havent been quite what I wanted yet.
