No matter how old your little one is, having a bedroom that is both fun and functional is super important! And of course, making sure that the final design displays personality and showcases their favorite things is an absolutely must! Our very own Melissa Johnson recently partnered with The Land of Nod to masterfully redesign darling Charlie’s room into a unique and playful space fit for a five-year old king! Here’s what Melissa has to say on the process:
“2015 has been a whirlwind of magic for my little family! As we’re gearing up for baby #2, there is SO much JOY in our home! I should be designing the nursery right now, but I couldn’t imagine tackling another home decor project without sprucing up Charlie’s kingdom first.
We teamed up with one of my ALL time favorite companies, The Land of Nod, to style his room. From sprinkle confetti rugs to geometric lamps, styling his room felt like a PARTY! I am sure it’s obvious why we were so excited to work together with them.
We upgraded Charlie’s bed with a new modern twin walnut bed frame. The wood is so solid, I have no doubt it will last us for many years to come. Charlie helped me style the bed with bold shaped pillows and cuddle stuffed animals.
Charlie loves all things creative – including art. We gave him a fun, clean set up to expand his creativity.
I love how the white honeycomb shelf allows us display some of his favorite toys. My personal favorite? His new pineapple piggy bank.
We displayed the Geometric lamp on top of a mint metal nightstand.
We’re over the moon excited about the new look of Charlie’s bedroom! It’s safe to say Charlie is loving his new room and will be jumping on the bed for many years to come!
