How are we possibly this far into December already?! Who else feels like they blinked and Christmas appeared! I just love being able to fill my house with Christmas decorations and create the perfect feel for our holiday parties. But, it can also be overwhelming to take on the decorating, the hosting, and the cooking. That’s why I can’t wait for you to see what we have up our sleeves to help you all get your homes, and tables, ready for the holiday season! You won’t want to miss this! ;)

I’m SO excited to share this amazing Christmas tablescape from our wonderful contributor and friend, Lauren of Going for Grace. She has come up with the perfect way to create a simple and affordable Christmas party. No stress! Here’s what Lauren has to say:

When brainstorming Christmas party ideas, I thought that it would be an absolute DREAM to have a party in the middle of a Christmas tree farm! I quickly found that this was easier said than done here in our unpredictable East Tennessee weather. So instead, I brought the Christmas tree farm to the party! If you are a Target shopper like Melissa and myself, then you probably recognize several of these items from the seasonal dollar section – those adorable little station wagons, the tiny Christmas trees, and even the precious wellies vases. That just goes to show that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to throw an adorable party!

Now, here are some quick tips to throwing your very own Christmas party!

HAVE A DEDICATED SPOT FOR PHOTOS

Let’s be honest, if you get all dolled up for a holiday party, then you are definitely going to want to take some pictures. So why not create a dedicated spot for your guests (and YOU) to take some adorable photos?! Not only does it serve as a great decoration, but it’s also so much fun for your guests to have memorable photos from the evening! If you really want to up the fun factor, throw in a few props such as mistletoe or a Santa beard!

To create our spot for photos, I hung some garland around a beautiful window, creating the perfect frame for a photo! If your party is after dark, Christmas lights would be such a fun option as well!

MAKE THE FOOD FOR YOUR TABLESCAPE

One of my favorite ways to set a table is to center the tablescape around some of the food that I am going to be serving. Talk about a two for one! I clearly love to bake, so anytime a cake can be included in the centerpiece, I go for it! I wanted the cake to really tie the whole Christmas tree farm theme together, so I topped it with mini Christmas trees, a precious little station wagon, and a road made out of sprinkles. SO easy to DIY!

USE HOLIDAY ELEMENTS AS DECORATION

What details come to mind when you think of Christmas? For me, it’s red ribbon, bows, ornaments, and wrapping paper of course! More than likely, one or all of these elements are a part of every family’s Christmas! There is something so cozy and welcoming about a setting that reminds you of family traditions. So, turn up the nostalgia with wrapping paper, bows, and ornaments as decorations for your Christmas party!
