There’s nothing like the lovely light of a candle, but if you’re not thrilled at the idea of dealing with fire, there are easy (and glittery!) ways around it. Our contributor Jessica Huizenga of The Confetti Bar has dreamed up some cute and sparkly decor for battery-operated candles. Purple, green, and gold are the official colors of Mardi Gras, and once you make this quick project, you’ll have a holiday in a candle. To keep the party going in your home year-round, all it takes is a dip into glitter and a whole bunch of color confetti! Here’s what Jessica has to say:

“Want to light up your home with glitter and confetti, but don’t want to risk the hazards of an open flame? Then this super easy project is for you! Place an assortment around your home and you’ve got a glam decoration that is both functional and safe.”
