DIY Pink IKEA Desk Makeover

Since moving into our new house, I have been pouring over Pinterest trying to find inspo for my new home office. It’s so nice to have a space that is entirely my own — one where Andy doesn’t have any input! ;) It’s so important for a home office to be a space conducive to productivity! So, my plan is to make things simple, while still incorporating fun touches and being stylish at the same time.

It’s so tempting to want to throw away old things and start anew, but I’ve found upcycling to be so much more exciting! Sort of thrilling at times. ;) Not only do you save a ton of money, but it’s so rewarding to give an item a new lease on life (while looking amazing, I might add).

As I was taking a walk down memory lane, I was thinking about my first “home office.” Anyone else remember the IKEA makeover we did? I STILL have the white desk. While I was debating on keeping it for our new space, I thought it would be fun to paint it PINK. Anyone else surprised? I promise I am still working on changing our color palette. It will happen one day- I promise. ;) It’s a process..and literally works like a muscle for me.

This upcycled desk with pink and gold confetti stars is the perfect addition to a kids room or a fun home office! It was so simple to achieve, and I’m obsessed with the subtle pop of color it gives to the room. Don’t miss how to DIY this adorable office piece below!

Do you by chance remember the brand and color of spray paint you used for this desk? I want to replicate this same shade of pink!
