You have probably noticed by now how obsessed I am with unicorns. From adding those gems to Claire’s nursery to our recent Holiday Cookie Decorating Party with Pottery Barn Kids, I am in-love with their magical aesthetic. I have always LOVED the art of decorating fancy fondant party cakes, but the truth is that it is not my zone of genius. I wish I had that kind of talent, but it didn’t pick me. ;) As dessert is such a  huge part of our content at BFFF, I really wanted to get back in to the groove of sharing fun party cakes…So I put on my thinking cap and realized that I could still wear my creative director hat while working with someone I admire so much.
I have been following (stalking) my new friend Randi for the past few years. She owns the elaborate bakery Sugar Euphoria and pumps out the most amazing cakes. I told her my vision and ideas and she was totally on board. Lucky for me, I found out she has been a BFFF reader for years. It’s so funny how that all works- here we both had been following each other’s work for years and had no idea.
unicorn-cake-3I shared with Randi the image of the Unicorn Rocking Horse with the flower crown from Claire’s nursery tour and asked her to create a unicorn which embraced this level of fun! She did such an amazing job! And now I am so excited to tell you that Randi and I will be collaborating on many more fun cake designs that embrace all the bright and fun feelings we want you to feel at BFFF!
