Perfect Matcha Green Tea Recipe

One of my favorite jobs ever was working as a barista when I was 18. So I absolutely loved being able to put some of my old skills to use with this amazing matcha tea recipe! Thanks to Tea Forte, it’s now so easy to get that delicious coffee house Matcha Latte in the comfort of your own home. Hello more time to relax in the morning! ;) This recipe is SO easy to make that you don’t even need to have A+ barista skills, though it will make you feel like one! ;) Now, let’s get to making this awesome drink!

Best Matcha Tea Flavors

There are so many matcha powders out there that come in a number of flavors. If you want to skip adding any extra sugar but still want some added flavor to hide the earthy matcha notes, this is the surefire way to do it. You can find a number of different flavor combinations out there, but I have a huge sweet tooth, so I knew I wanted the extra sweetness of the vanilla syrup. It’s also a good idea to invest in a special bamboo whisk to get rid of as many clumps as possible when mixing your matcha. That will make your drink so much smoother! So let’s get mixing and make a delicious green tea latte!

How to Make Matcha Latte

The how-to for this recipe is seriously so easy! The trick is to mix 1 teaspoon of Tea Forte Pure Matcha Green Tea Powder with ¼ cup of almost boiling water. Mix 4 teaspoons of honey into the green tea mixture until fully combined, then chill. While the tea mixture is chilling, mix 2 tablespoons of vanilla syrup with 12 ounces of your milk of choice. I personally love the nuttier taste of soy milk mixed with the matcha flavor! Finally, fill a glass with ice and add both the tea and the milk mixture over the top.

Perfect Iced Matcha Tea

I am seriously loving this Iced Matcha Latte recipe, but I am also loving the fact that these loose matcha powders can be used in SO many other recipes! I’m about ready to go through all my recipes to see what else I can make matcha flavored. Are you ready to be matcha obsessed like me?! Let me know in the comments if you make this delicious matcha tea. And if you have any barista twists you add to your matcha, I would love to hear any ideas you have!
