Achieving 2020 Goals
Here’s to kicking off 2020 with a splash! What a month January was! Seriously, winter is hands down the best time of the year to just cozy up with a good book or movie, a cup of coffee, and a favorite blanket, and in my opinion it continues into the new year. ;) Who’s with me? Once all of the holiday chaos has come to an end, it’s time to hit reset! 2020 just arrived! Can you even believe it?! I love taking the time at the beginning of the year to make a plan for how I’m going to achieve the goals I set. It’s a total gamechanger, and this year I’m doing it while sipping my new favorite coffee recipe!
Making the Perfect Cup of Coffee
Have y’all heard about the new Braun MultiServe Coffee Machine?! Grab a cup of coffee and come sit with me! It has allllll the bells and whistles. Andy is obsessed with different types of coffee, but his go-to is always the perfect cup of drip coffee. With the new MultiServe Coffee Machine you can literally choose from single-serve cups to a whole carafe in just the touch of a button! Seriously, it’s so adaptable to coffee needs and preferences so you can choose from light to bold, and there’s even a setting for iced coffee – which I love! It automatically calculates water flow, temperature, and speed to make the perfect cup of coffee in whatever quantity you need, and you don’t need to use pods for it!
Best Winter Coffee Recipe
I’ve been playing with some of my favorite coffee shop recipes as it’s soooo much easier when you can make it at home. Every Christmas season, I have Peppermint White Chocolate Mochas on repeat on my coffee order. Some people love Peppermint Mochas but I am all about the peppermint white mochas. Well, last Saturday morning, I played around with some recipe development and practically duped my go-to favorite winter drink. I was SO excited! And now that might just mean I can keep having it all year-round. No shame here! ;) Full disclosure, I worked at 2 different coffee shops when I was 18. Andy also used to work at one too! So we often have so much fun re-making our favorite beverages that have become so famously loved!
DIY Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha
This Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha recipe seriously hits the nail on the head when it comes to coffee drinks, and it’s so easy to make it using the Braun MultiServe! You can whip it up for yourself in the morning when nobody else is awake (one of my favorite things to do!), or make a big batch if you have a group of girlfriends coming over. It’s so easy! The MultiServe comes with the option of seven different drink sizes, so whether you’re rushing out the door for work or hosting a party of 12 – it will let you customize the number of cups you make. So cool!
How to Make a Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha
To whip up this drink, all you need is 1.5 ounces of super strong coffee, 2 ½ tablespoons white chocolate syrup, ⅛ teaspoon peppermint extract (or more if you love it!) and 1 ¼ cup milk. Brew the strong coffee to get started. While it’s brewing, add white chocolate syrup and peppermint extract to your mug. Pour in the coffee and steamed milk and stir. Top with whipped cream and if you want to get extra fancy, sprinkle crushed candy canes or peppermint on top. It’s like the holidays year-round!
Do you keep little pieces of the holidays around all year-round? Even though the Christmas decorations are put away and we’re hitting those New Year’s goals hard, it doesn’t mean your favorite winter drink has to go away! I’m voting we keep this one on repeat all year long! ;) What’s your favorite coffee drink to make at home? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below.
