Calling all of my busy mamas rushing out the door in the morning! Who’s with me? Christmas has come and gone, we’ve celebrated New Year’s and 2020 is in full swing! And with the New Year passing means that the kids are back in school and we’re getting back into the swing of things over here after the holidays! With the kids out of school we got so used to our time in the mornings to make breakfast and enjoy it at any time throughout the morning, but now that both Claire and Charlie are back in school, mornings are back to being so busy! Luckily, I’ve found the perfect solution to those crazy days when we’re dashing out the door.
Breakfast On The Go
While I was prepping the house for back to school mode, I stocked up on Bob’s Red Mill Oatmeal Cups to make life that much easier. These have been such a lifesaver! I’m able to whip up a single serving of whole grain oatmeal for the kids, and it can be served in the cup itself, so it’s even ready for those mornings when breakfast has to happen in the car. Seriously, you don’t even have to deal with dishes to get breakfast ready!
Simple Breakfast Ideas
I first tried the Pineapple Coconut flavor and was completely blown away. It’s like taking a quick vacation in the morning! 😉 But now we’ve been keeping all four flavors on hand because everyone in the house has a different fave! There’s a classic oatmeal flavor, Fruit and Seed with dried fruit and Cranberry Orange too. There’s Omega 3s from flax and chia, plus fiber and 7 grams of protein in each cup. They’re certified organic and made with simple, clean ingredients. So so easy and so good! I just love finding something that’s not only super convenient but it’s nutritious too!
I’ve also started whipping an oatmeal cup up for myself in the mornings after dropping off the kids at school. Moms need to eat too! 😉 Especially on those super busy mornings rushing the kids to school and getting back in time for a conference call in the morning, it’s so helpful to have something in the pantry to just grab, prep in a matter of minutes and be good to go to take on the rest of the day!
