Pink Pineapple Lemonade
How is 4th of July almost here? Just this past week, I have seen firework stands everywhere!!! One of my favorite 4th of July traditions are the barbecues! They are a time for family and friends to come together, cook delicious food and watch a dazzling firework display. When it comes to the menu, believe it or not, I am a simple girl. Give me a hamburger and a hot dog and I am happy! But I must tell you, I normally spend a little extra time and make a festive drink or dessert. For as long as I can remember, lemonade was the star of the show at every 4th of July gathering – it’s refreshing, cold, fruity and a little tart – really, the perfect combination for a drink on a hot summer evening! Lately the weather’s been heating up and a tall glass of lemonade has been calling my name, but this time, I wanted to change it up a bit, so I created this pink pineapple lemonade recipe.
I’ve played around with recipes that use pineapple juice for frosting, smoothies, and even a cocktail… but I have never used it in a lemonade recipe until 2016! It’s only taken me 30 years. ;) I created this Pink Pineapple Lemonade recipe, which has a touch of pink, and a whole lot of pineapple, made with DOLE® Canned 100% Pineapple Juice! I love how the pineapple juice adds an exotic taste to this classic glass of lemonade, and its sweetness balances the tartness of the lemonade perfectly. Plus, it’s non-GMO and naturally gluten-free. This is such a quick and easy recipe to make and it will be a hit with your friends, family and even kids!
