“Bunnies, blush tones, gold, and confetti”… what else could the theme of this adorable party need? Brooke Grover of Piccolo Studio took her daughter Willow’s first birthday to the next level with adorable, fringe-covered piñatas! Brooke is well known for her pinatas in her Etsy shop, and the amazing styling of this party shows us why! Located at Brooke’s home in Cronulla, NSW, Australia, the party had everything from a pink ombre cake to crowns for the kids. Here’s what Brooke has to say:
Willow’s 1st birthday fell during the week of Easter, so it was a given that her party theme would include bunnies. This was set with her invitations that I made myself. The design included pink, peach and gold confetti, a large hot pink water color dot and was finished with gold twine and a gold bunny cut out.
We did all the decorating the night before the party. Honey comb balls were hung on the walls along with a large peach and gold bunny cut out garland that said ‘Willow is one’, gold confetti and gold bunnies were scattered on the tables, and peach, pink and clear confetti filled jumbo balloons were filled with helium.
I had been preparing for the party over the months leading up to the date, making almost all of the decorations myself. I have my own paper label called Piccolo Studio, so I am used to making a lot of invitations and accessories. I made sweet little party crowns and feathered head dresses for the kids to all wear, they all loved them!
To keep the kids amused I made plain white bunny masks and left pencils for them to color in, and little bunny noses, whiskers and ears to glue on. I think some of the parents got more enjoyment out of these than the kids did!
I was so excited to debut one of my newest products at Willow’s 1st Birthday party – the giant W tissue covered prop and the giant 1 pianata. They made such an impact and were great to have the birthday girl pose with for photos.
The piñata was great when it was opened! The kids made a run for the chocolates while pink and gold confetti fell from the bottom. Since making the piñata and prop, I have had a lot of people contact me for orders, and have some being used for weddings and engagement parties.
As much as I love to bake, I knew I wouldn’t have the time to do a lot of it myself the night before the party. I did bake some chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, but left the rest to the professionals. The birthday cake was a pink and peach ombre white chocolate mud ruffle cake. It looked so beautiful when it was cut open. I also had some gorgeous number 1 and bunny cookies made that were a real hit.
At the end of the party each child took home treat boxes. They were little confetti print cardboard hand bags that had a bunny cut out on the front and were filled with pink and gold eggs.
We had such a nice day, and Willow was so happy to be surrounded by her favorite, people big and small!

Such a cute party! Did you make the gold dot tablecloth? Or where can I find one?
I am in love with this party! It could not be any cuter!
Loving the colour palette and the gold high lights of glam.
