Bakery approved frosting recipe. This is one of the best vanilla frosting recipes I have ever tasted.

Ingredients
2sticks butterroom temperature
6cupspowdered sugar
1/4cupwhole milk
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1/2teaspoonsaltfood colorif desired
Instructions
-in a stand mixer with paddle attachment, add butter and beat on high for 2-3 minutes, scraping the bowl once light and fluffy
-add half the powdered sugar and salt to mixer and mix on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase speed to high until frosting is smooth-add rest of powdered sugar and mix until smooth-add milk and vanilla and mix on low speed until combined, then increase speed to high until frosting is smooth-add food color if desired
-once layers are completely cooled, you can begin stacking your cake-start with one layer of cake, followed by a thin layer of Vanilla Frosting -repeat this process until all layer are used and desired cake height is reached -frost the outside of the cake using desired technique/design-cake can be chilled until needed, pull out atleast 2 hours prior to serving
