In a 9x13 baking dish add strawberries and blueberries then spread into a single layer.
Evenly sprinkle sugar and lemon juice over the berries. (Lemon juice is optional)
Evenly sprinkle white cake mix over the berries.
Evenly space butter slices over the cake mix.
Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown in spots.
Let cool to room temperature before serving. Place into the freezer or refrigerator to expedite cooling. Can be served warm as well but we preferred it a room temperature. Can be stored overnight before serving as well.
Once cooled Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
