Ingredients

  • 6 cupcakes store-bought or homemade
  • Pink cotton candy about 1 small bag
  • Candy eggs 18-24, such as Cadbury Mini Eggs or Jordan Almonds

Instructions

  • Gently shape small handfuls of pink cotton candy into 6 round nests using your hands.

  • Place one cotton candy nest on top of each cupcake.
  • Nestle 3-4 candy eggs in the center of each cotton candy nest.

  • Assemble just before serving to prevent cotton candy from melting.

Notes

When adding candy eggs, don't overload your bird’s nest – about 3-4 eggs keep the nests light and prevent them from breaking through the cotton candy barrier.
Keep your cotton candy out of heat and humidity, as it will make cotton candy shrink or even disappear as it dissolves and becomes sticky, losing its fluffy texture.
