Putting these fresh fruit skewers together only takes a few seconds. You simply have to take a few wooden skewers and load on your fruit! These fruit skewers are the most kid friendly dessert in town, right?! I like to pile on the blueberries first and then finish off the skewer with a slice of watermelon! If you’re feeling extra fancy though, you can also creatively cut your watermelon into specific shapes like stars or hearts. You can easily free-hand slice the watermelon, or really cut down on prep time and use a cookie cutter. For these mini-watermelon slices I actually used the cutest little heart cutter that’s specifically made for fondant. How easy is that? I really recommend making your fresh fruit skewers the morning of your event to make sure they’re at their freshest! But, if you are seriously crunched for time, you can make them the night before and keep them wrapped in cling-wrap in the fridge. These are such a quick treat that can be modified for any patriotic bash! :)
