These easy Spider Donuts turn store-bought glazed donuts and donut holes into the cutest Halloween spiders! Chocolate, black decorating icing, and candy eyes make this spooky-cute treat SO easy to put together.
Prep Time15 minutesmins
Approximate time for chocolate to harden10 minutesmins
In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the chocolate candy melts for 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until melted, about 1 minute total.
Insert a toothpick into each donut hole and dip into the melted chocolate until fully coated. (If you can find store bought chocolate donut holes this step can be skipped.)
Pipe four legs on each side of the donut hole using the tube of black decorating icing.
Add a donut hole to the center of each donut and let the chocolate harden then remove the toothpick.
Attach 2 eyes to each donut hole with the remaining decorating icing.
Notes
If using store-bought chocolate donut holes, skip the dipping step.
Use a small dab of decorating icing to attach the candy eyes.
Whatever you do, don't make my mistake and pipe 3 legs on each side. Spiders have 8 legs total.
