Equipment
cake pop sticks
parchment or wax paper
tweezers
Ingredients
12 ozgreen candy melts
12 ozpretzels
10ozgold chocolate candies or yellow M&M'S
rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
In a small bowl, melt the green melting wafers in the microwave for 30 second intervals stirring in-between until melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat as the candy will seize up and harden. If candy thickens, stir in a little shortening or vegetable oil to thin the mixture out.
On a parchment or wax paper lined baking sheet or cutting board, place down cake pop sticks.
Using a pair of tweezers, dip each pretzel one at a time in the green melting candy and place 3 dipped pretzels around each cake pop stick.
Using a spoon, add additional green melting candy to the center of each shamrock where the pretzels meet the cake pop stick. This will act as a 'glue' to hold everything together.
Before the green melting candy hardens place a gold chocolate candy or yellow M&M into the center of each shamrock and sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles. Make one shamrock pop at a time.
Let each shamrock pop harden before serving. *Optional: expedite this process by placing in the fridge or freezer.
