All you need to make these Shamrock Pretzel Pops are Just Four ingredients and ten minutes, and you’re done!

Upgrading My Viral Pretzel Pops

Last week, my Rolo version of these Shamrock Pretzel Pops just went crazy viral (currently up to 14 million views on Facebook and Instagram), and they’re even featured in my brand new cookbook, Celebrating Every Day

But this year, I wanted to add a touch of color (aka candy melts) and colorful sprinkle fun! Is it just me or are sprinkles are the confetti of the kitchen?! So, as St Patricks Day rolled around, I knew I had to make something extra special.

POV: You need a St Patricks Day treat that’s CUTE and EASY! I have you covered! Imagine this: salty, crunchy pretzels transformed into adorable shamrocks, dipped in vibrant green candy melts, a gold M&M in the center and added rainbwo sprinkles. It’s a St Patrick’s Day idea that’s as fun to make as it is to eat. And especially perfect for those looking for memorable St Patricks Food ideas.

These Shamrock Pretzel Pops are a total St Patrick’s Day desserts win!

Ingredients to make Shamrock Pretzel Pops

Cake Pop Sticks: These allow for easy handling to hold your shamrock pretzel pops – making them the perfect St. Patrickshandheld dessert.

Mini Pretzels: These provide the salty crunch and the base for our shamrock shape.

Gold M&M’s: These act as the “stem” of the shamrock, adding a touch of golden sparkle.

Green Candy Melts: This is what gives our pretzels their vibrant, festive green coating.

Rainbow Sprinkles: These add a burst of color and a playful, reminder of the famous St. Patrick’s Day rainbow.

How to Make Shamrock Pops:

The Shamrock Shape: It’s all about the arrangement. Dip your pretzels in green candy melts, then carefully place three of them side-by-side, forming a classic shamrock shape.

The Glue: A little dollop of melted green candy melts in the center secures the pretzels to the cake pop stick and holds everything together.

The Treasure: A shiny gold (or yellow) M&M nestled in the center adds a touch of leprechaun bling, and of course, a generous sprinkle of rainbow sprinkles completes the festive party dessert look.

St Patricks Pretzel Dessert brings joy to:

  • St Patrick’s Day parties
  • Classroom treats
  • A fun afternoon activity with the kids (and a great introduction to simple St Patricks Day crafts!)
  • Celebrating every day all March long – you don’t need an actual holiday to be inspired to create a festive dessert.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz green candy melts
  • 12 oz pretzels
  • 10 oz gold chocolate candies or yellow M&M'S
  • rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, melt the green melting wafers in the microwave for 30 second intervals stirring in-between until melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat as the candy will seize up and harden. If candy thickens, stir in a little shortening or vegetable oil to thin the mixture out.
  • On a parchment or wax paper lined baking sheet or cutting board, place down cake pop sticks.
  • Using a pair of tweezers, dip each pretzel one at a time in the green melting candy and place 3 dipped pretzels around each cake pop stick.
  • Using a spoon, add additional green melting candy to the center of each shamrock where the pretzels meet the cake pop stick. This will act as a 'glue' to hold everything together.
  • Before the green melting candy hardens place a gold chocolate candy or yellow M&M into the center of each shamrock and sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles. Make one shamrock pop at a time.
  • Let each shamrock pop harden before serving. *Optional: expedite this process by placing in the fridge or freezer.
