So friends… If you’re planning your 4th of July dinner ideas or need something easy for a party, this American flag hot dog board checks every box. 10/10 recommend!

Just make sure to add ketchup right before serving your hot dogs… or let guests add their own. If you add the ketchup too early, the hot dogs can get soggy after sitting for a few hours… I learned this the hard way! ;)

What you need to make this

Ingredients

15 hot dog buns
15 hot dogs (bun length)
1 bag blue tortilla chips
3 slices white cheese
Ketchup

Supplies

Large rectangular cutting board (we used a 15″ x 20″)
Small star cookie cutter

Instructions

Cook the hot dogs using your preferred method.

Place the hot dogs in buns and arrange them on a large rectangular cutting board. For a 15″ x 20″ board, create three rows of 3 hot dogs and three rows of 2 hot dogs. Adjust as needed depending on your board size. The key is using a rectangular board to get that flag look.

Fill the top left corner of the board with blue tortilla chips.

Use a small star cookie cutter to cut stars from the white cheese slices. You’ll need about 8 to 10 stars. Place them on top of the chips.

Add ketchup in a squiggly line across each hot dog.

Serve immediately and enjoy.

This is such a fun and easy option for 4th of July recipes, Memorial Day food, or any summer BBQ. It’s simple, festive, and always a hit with both kids and adults.

If you’re looking for recipes for Fourth of July or easy Memorial Day food ideas, this one is definitely worth trying.
