Just make sure to add ketchup right before serving your hot dogs… or let guests add their own. If you add the ketchup too early, the hot dogs can get soggy after sitting for a few hours… I learned this the hard way! ;)

What you need to make this
Ingredients
15 hot dog buns
15 hot dogs (bun length)
1 bag blue tortilla chips
3 slices white cheese
Ketchup
Supplies
Large rectangular cutting board (we used a 15″ x 20″)
Small star cookie cutter
Instructions
Cook the hot dogs using your preferred method.
Place the hot dogs in buns and arrange them on a large rectangular cutting board. For a 15″ x 20″ board, create three rows of 3 hot dogs and three rows of 2 hot dogs. Adjust as needed depending on your board size. The key is using a rectangular board to get that flag look.
Fill the top left corner of the board with blue tortilla chips.
Use a small star cookie cutter to cut stars from the white cheese slices. You’ll need about 8 to 10 stars. Place them on top of the chips.
Add ketchup in a squiggly line across each hot dog.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
This is such a fun and easy option for 4th of July recipes, Memorial Day food, or any summer BBQ. It’s simple, festive, and always a hit with both kids and adults.

American Flag Hot Dog Board

Equipment
- large rectangle cutting board (I used a 15"x20")
Ingredients
- 15 hot dog buns
- 15 hot dogs, bun length
- 1 bag blue tortilla chips
- 3 slices white cheese
- ketchup
Instructions
- Cook the hot dogs.
- Put the hot dogs in buns and place on the cutting board. For our 15"x20" board we made three rows of 3 hot dogs, and three rows of 2 hot dogs. Depending on the size of your cutting board this may differ, you may be able to use more or less hot dogs. The important thing is to start with a rectangular cutting board regardless of overall size.
- Arrange the blue tortilla chips in the left corner of the cutting board.
- Using a small star cookie cutter, cut out the stars. You will need roughly 8-10 stars.
- Place the stars on top of the blue tortilla chips.
- Add ketchup to each hot dog in a squiggly line.
- Serve at your next patriotic BBQ or party!
