This Unicorn Pumpkin is one of my favorite no-carve pumpkin ideas! 🦄🎃 With a gold horn, pretty flowers, eyelashes, and pink cheeks, you can turn a simple white pumpkin into the cutest little unicorn.

It’s whimsical, mess-free, and such a fun alternative to traditional Halloween pumpkins!

A white pumpkin is decorated as a unicorn with a gold horn, pink roses around the top, black eyelashes, and pink cheeks. It sits on a stone porch next to a white pillar.

I Originally Made this Unicorn Pumpkin for BHG!

Fun fact: I originally made this Unicorn Pumpkin for Better Homes & Gardens! 🦄🎃 It’s still one of my favorite projects I’ve ever created with BHG.

I love looking back at this one because I remember when my daughter, Claire, was first born and how SO excited I was to make all the fun, girly Halloween ideas through the eyes of a new girl mom!

It’s SO girly, pink, whimsical, a little over-the-top, and way more cute than scary!

A person with long hair, wearing a striped top, smiles while holding a white pumpkin decorated as a unicorn, complete with a golden horn, floral crown, and painted eyelashes. The background is a soft pink.

These unicorn-decorated pumpkins would be absolutely adorable at a Fall baby shower, kids’ birthday party, or even a Halloween party!

Yield: 1 Unicorn Pumpkin
Author: Melissa Johnson
Cost: $23

Materials

  • 1 White pumpkin
  • Pink and white flowers
  • 2 Black eyelashes I made mine on a Cricut machine
  • 1 Pink paint
  • 1 Small sponge brush
  • Gold Spray Paint
  • Clay
  • Glue Gun
  • 1 wooden skewer
  • 1 gold pipe cleaner

Instructions

  • Start by making the unicorn horn. Roll and twist the clay into a horn shape. Before the clay dries, carefully insert a wooden skewer into the center of the bottom of the horn, leaving part of the skewer exposed.
A flat lay of crafting items on a pink background includes a white pumpkin, spray paints, false eyelashes, a golden horn, and a rose headband. These are likely components for creating a unicorn-themed decoration.
  • Let the clay dry completely according to the package directions. Once dry, spray paint the horn gold and let the paint dry completely.
  • Insert the exposed end of the wooden skewer into the top of the pumpkin to secure the horn.
  • Make the flower crown. Arrange the pink and white flowers along a gold pipe cleaner and attach them with super glue. Once dry, shape the pipe cleaner around the base of the unicorn horn. Use a hot glue gun to attach the finished flower crown directly to the pumpkin.
  • Add the black eyelashes to the front of the pumpkin.
Hands are placing black, long eyelashes on a white pumpkin with a gold unicorn horn, set against a soft pink background. The scene has a whimsical, creative feel.
  • Use pink paint and a small sponge brush to add rosy cheeks underneath the eyes.
A white paper plate with a smear of pink paint, an open jar labeled satin CHERRY BLOSSOM, and a small foam brush.
  • Let everything dry completely, then display your Unicorn Pumpkin! 🦄🎃
