Breakfast Ideas
Weโve definitely been gearing up for the cozy season over here. Whoโs feeling the same?! December is in full swing! And for us, when it gets colder outside, it always means pancakes are on the menu for a nice, warm breakfast. Is there anything better than a fresh, warm stack of pancakes with all of your favorite toppings? Iโm so excited to share one of my favorite, simple ways to top my pancakes with you!
Pancakes are truly the best breakfast to pile up with plenty of toppings. Seriously, everything pairs so well with pancakes, from fresh fruit to chocolate sauce and whipped cream. But there is something to be said about pancakes that are delicious on their own, or even with just a bit of butter and a splash of syrup. For me, I love pancakes with butter, syrup, and a pile of fresh fruit on top!
Best Pancake Mix
Krusteaz pancake mix is one of those pantry staples I always have on hand. I love to surprise the kids with pancakes on the days they least expect it. It puts such a big smile on their face when they get to have pancakes before school on a weekday morning!
Whipping up a batch of pancakes with Krusteaz pancake mix truly couldnโt be any easier. All you need is the pancake mix and water. Plus, youโll want to make sure you have your favorite toppings ready for when your pancakes are done. I love topping mine with butter and syrup, paired with strawberries and blueberries for a fresh taste!
Ingredients for Pancakes
All you have to do to make pancakes is whisk together the Krusteaz pancake mix and water. Be sure to follow the ingredient measurements on the box for the number of pancakes you want.
How to Cook Pancakes
Heat your griddle to 375 degrees (or medium heat) and lightly grease it. Once the griddle is at the proper temperature, pour about ยผ cup of batter onto the griddle. Let the pancakes cook for 1 to 1 ยฝ minutes on the griddle. Flip your pancakes once the tops start to bubble and the bottoms are golden brown. That way, you know your pancakes are ready! Stack your cooked pancakes, add a slab of butter, strawberries, and blueberries on top, and then pour your favorite syrup over top. Itโs that easy!
Best Pancake Toppings
Pancakes have always been hands down one of my favorite foods, ever since I was little. My mom used to make super cute pancakes, or she would top them with whipped and sprinkles to make breakfast a really fun celebration. I love that I can keep that tradition alive in the simplest way! Whatโs your favorite topping for pancakes? Iโd love to hear all about your go-to combination in the comments below!
