All you’ll need for this copycat Cracker Barrel hashbrown casserole is shredded, defrosted hashbrowns, melted butter, a can of cream of chicken soup, light sour cream, one cup of chopped onion, one garlic clove, minced, shredded colby jack cheese, and chopped parsley. I used the chopped parsley for garnish, so it’s totally up to you to add it to your dinner! Can you believe this is all you need to pull off this copycat recipe?!

How to Make a Copycat Cracker Barrel Hashbrown Casserole

To make this copycat Cracker Barrel hashbrown casserole, first you’ll need to preheat your oven to 350F. In a large bowl, mix together the defrosted hashbrowns, chopped onions, minced garlic, melted butter, one cup of shredded cheese, light sour cream, and a can of cream of chicken soup.

Bake the Casserole

Once everything has been mixed together, add the mixture to an oiled 9×13 pan and spread the mixture into an even layer. Top the mixture with your remaining cheese, and place the casserole in the oven. Let the dish bake for 40 minutes. Once it’s done, sprinkle the casserole with chopped parsley and it’s ready to serve!

Ingredients

  • 32 ounces shredded hashbrowns, defrosted
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5-ounce can)
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded colby jack cheese
  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • 16 oz Light Sour Cream

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350F.
  • In a large bowl, mix together hashbrowns, chopped onions, minced garlic, melted butter, 1 cup shredded cheese, sour cream, and one can of cream of chicken soup.

    The instructions call for sour cream but it is not listed in the ingredients. Would love to make this. Can you please revise the recipe?
