Fruit Flower Skewers are Oh-So-Easy!

This easy-to-follow recipe transforms simple fruit into a show-stopping centerpiece that’s as delicious as it is beautiful. To make these fruit flowers, I ordered these skewers, flower cookie cutter, and small round biscuit cutter from Amazon.

These fruit flower kebabs are a perfect spring dessert idea or even for a Mother’s Day dessert.

Edible Arrangements Copy Cat Recipe

Fruit flower skewers bring me back to the days when I worked at Cookies by Design many years ago. I used to bake and decorate cookies, then place them on skewers, much like the fruit bouquet from Edible Arrangements. Talk about a perfect budget-friendly spring dessert as my version is a copy cat recipe!

Fruit Flower Ingredient Swaps & Ideas

Get creative with your fruit skewers by swapping out ingredients: try melon flowers, berry-only skewers, citrus flowers, or even tropical additions. Change up the presentation with edible melon vases, chocolate-dipped flowers, fresh herb accents, or fruit flower pops.

Set up a Toppings Bar

For easy, interactive dessert fun at your Mother’s Day brunch or spring party, serve fruit flower skewers alongside a buffet of honey, lime zest, yogurt dips, and granola, allowing everyone to personalize their own delicious skewer. Arrange toppings in a muffin tin, similar to an ice cream sundae bar, for a beautifully organized presentation. This is always a hit!

Storage Tips

Short-Term Storage (A Few Hours): Refrigerate fruit flower skewers on a paper towel-lined baking sheet, covered tightly with plastic wrap.

Longer-Term Storage (Up to 24 Hours): Individually wrap fruit flower skewers, then refrigerate in an airtight container.

Avoid freezing, as it ruins fruit texture.

Notes

When you slice the pineapple, aim for the same thickness as your cookie cutter.
Use ripe, firm fruit for the best flavor and appearance.
These fruit flower skewers are best made close to serving time. That way, the fruit stays juicy and looks its best.
